From Christian Post- An organization of over 2,500 Korean American pastors and their congregations expressed disappointment Wednesday over the announcement by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding new sanctions against North Korea, believing that they do not go nearly far enough and can do more harm than good. Tension continues to escalate in an already tense situation between North Korea and South Korea. According to this report from Mission Network News, North Korea has “invalidated the 2004 accord designed to prevent an escalation of war along the Demilitarized Zone,  a 2.5-mile-wide buffer between Korea’s two opposing armies.” All this is the result of an incident in March where 46 sailors died as a South Korean navy corvette was torpedoed. International investigators  have concluded that North Korea was behind the attack, a charge that has angered the reclusive communist regime. Possible retaliations from both sides could mean serious consequence for the region and its people. New York Times has more on the situation.
