For 2011, the 1040 Movie team has decided to enable as many campus fellowships as possible to screen 1040 without flying out the entire team. You can do so with the 1040 DVD Answer the Call Edition.

Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem: A Letter from Jaeson Ma

Dear 1040 movers and shakers,

As the 1040 Movement unfolds, we are again reminded of the desperate need for peace in the Middle East. At this crucial juncture in history, with so much warfare and unrest in that region, we believe that God has a special plan for the world for which the peace of Jerusalem will be indispensable. Please read the following letter from Jaeson Ma and join us for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem on the first Sunday of October.

Dear Pastors, Leaders and Friends,

I would like to personally encourage each of you to join with millions worldwide the first Sunday of October for “The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.” It is critical as believers that we continue to daily uplift Israel in our prayers, as we are commanded in scripture to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

As many of you know, I have been traveling for the past 3 years to Israel to understand God’s heart for His chosen people, to stand with them in prayer & expectancy for God’s purposes to be fulfilled in the end days. I am now working with Dr. Robert Stearns (Eagle Wings Ministries) to support and mobilize prayer around the world, especially amongst the Asian & Asian American body of Christ worldwide to pray & support the day of prayer each year.

I am positive, as revealed in scriptures (Revelation 16) that Asia holds a key role in bringing the Gospel back to Jerusalem, as well as be one of the strongest forces of spiritual support to Israel as a nation. Those of you who have seen our film 1040 know the importance of Asia and Israel walking together to finish the Great Commission. Now is the time to mobilize the Asian church globally to pray for the peace of God’s chosen nation & it’s key to fulfilling Biblical prophecy.

Free 1040 Screening at TOM Film Festival June 19th!

China’s Ex-Student Leaders Pray for China

To mark the 21st Anniversary of China’s Tian’anmen Square Massacre and the student pro-democracy movement, several ex-student leaders, many of whom are Christians now living abroad, gathered to pray for China and to commemorate the freedom movement- the biggest threat ever to the Chinese Communist regime. Christian Post has a moving article on this.

Chai Ling, one of the most wanted student leaders by the Chinese government at the time, became a Christian last December. 1040 Spring Tour

The epic 1040 Spring Tour that started in April concluded last Saturday with an incredible screening at the Sa-Rang Community Church in Anaheim, CA, one of the largest Korean congregations in America. Over 600 people- students, young adults, parents, grandparents- joined 1040 and Jaeson Ma for a night of film, spirit-filled worship, and fervent prayers. Holy Spirit was present in the room- an incredible revival broke out as hundreds joined in prayers for Asia and for the hearts and minds of this generation. Many committed themselves to working and serving in the mission field of Asia. It was a perfect summation of the entire Spring Tour. We will be back this summer with a domestic tour, followed by an international tour of Asia in August. After that, stay tuned for our all-out fall college tour in September and October!!!

Gospel for Asia Mourns Murder of Indian Missionary

The religious environment in countries like India remains extremely volatile for Christians. The international mission organization Gospel for Asia recently mourned the death of one of its missionaries, who was murdered by an extremist anti-Christian group on May 20th while constructing a new church.
