Christian evangelist Luis Palau has been invited by over 500 church leaders from across Vietnam, as well as US diplomat and government officials, to lead the first foreign mission to the country since the fall of Saigon in 1975. “If the mission is approved”, according a report in Christian Today, “it will take place at a strategic time for Christianity in Vietnam, where the government has only recently given permission for Christian events to take place.” In December, 50,000 people came to an outreach outside of Ho Chi Minh City despite the event having received approval only 48 hours prior; an estimated 8,000 people received Christ. This is a significant time for Christianity in the history of Vietnam. Let’s pray that permission will be granted for Palau’s mission, that the Good News of Jesus Christ will be preached openly in Vietnam!
I am a Vietnamese myself, but I transfered to the US for 9 months now, but I am so happy that revival is coming to my country, thank you for those who has been praying and supporting us, hope that God’s Good News will spread more widely, and more and more people will be saved. Praise the Lord!!!
