100,000 Strong Initiative

If you’ve attended a 1040 screening within the past year, Jaeson Ma often refers to a program developing between the United States and China that would provide American students with the opportunity to study and eventually work within China. This 2010 US Department of State program is called the 100,000 Strong Initiative. More information about the program can be found HERE.

The program, first announced in 2009 and freshly launched in February 2011, is “a national effort designed to increase dramatically the number and diversify the composition of American students studying in China. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton officially launched the initiative in May 2010 in Beijing. The Chinese government strongly supports the initiative and has already committed 10,000 “Bridge Scholarships” for American students to study in China… the “100,000 Strong” Initiative relies fully on private-sector philanthropic support to direct funds to existing U.S.-China educational exchange programs that are seeking to expand their programs” (via state.gov)

Interested in hosting a screening of 1040? Are you a smaller organization that’s hard-pressed to fly out a speaker or rent out a large venue?

For 2011, the 1040 Movie team has decided to enable as many campus fellowships as possible to screen 1040 without flying out the entire team. You can do so with the 1040 DVD Answer the Call Edition.

PRAISE THE LORD! GOD IS MOVING!

These past two months have been nothing short of amazing – we’ve literally seen over 8000+ students commit to serving the 10/40 window – whether it be to pray, send, go or mobilize. We’ve seen powerful encounters and revival break out in over 20+ cities with students and young adults catching a vision for missions and a new prayer movement.

If you still haven’t had the chance to see the movie and hear Jaeson share his heart and testimony, or if your in the area and would like to invite your friends to see how God is moving and encounter Him, I’d like to invite you to our FINAL screening this Friday, Dec 3rd at San Jose State University in California.
